removal of rear heater/ aircon assembly

Post by tipidave1 » Thu Sep 18, 2008 6:42 pm

It seems that rusty sills and Mot failure are the order of the day! Iposted acouple of days ago re: rust found on sill. Have now had a very reasonable quote for welding. I have sucessfully removed seat and trim together with the rear heater control unit. Now I can't quite work out how to get the matricx assembly out. I have removerd 3 bolts that are the only obvious mean sof holding it in place. There is now a bit of movement but it is still very much attached. I was hoping not to have to drain down the system and remove the pipies from underneath. Does anyone know how the rear heater unit is fixed in? I've got until tuesday before the welding is done!
