Bleeding a V6

Post by Regor » Thu Sep 11, 2008 8:39 pm

Here's a quick question to all the coolant system fundis out there. Does a V6 system require bleeding after being disturbed like the diesels, and if so how is it carried out.

Thanks in anticipation

All cooling systems need bleeding - it's just that most are easy to do
No idea about the V6 I'm afraid :(

Have a look under the n/s seat and see if there is a bleed tube. Passes over the altenator and secured to the chassis with a cable tie thingy.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

Hi,

I've watched mine being done and the answer is yes, there is a bleed pipe under the passenger seat. Should imagine it's very similar to the diesel engine procedure.
