Heater Control not working

Post by hovis2130 » Mon Sep 08, 2008 11:41 am

Hiya

Our heater controller has packed up, settings 1-4. However the aircon light works from 1 -3 but we have no air coming through the vents #-o
Over the weekend we looked at the brushes which were ok and cleaned the parts and put it all back together as described in the factsheet - still not working. However this am I have slide the cold and hot slider to hot and you can feel a slight warm coming though but not through the controller speeds - does anyone have any ideas as up to 2 weeks ago the heater and aircon were working lovely. [-o< p.s we have also checked the fuse - that is working ok !

Have a look at this http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... er#p227263. The resistor is a common problem and easily fixed - there are loads more threads on the subject if you search for "heater AND resistor".

Can you hear the fan running? if so it might be the linkage down by your left foot on the drivers side has become detached.
