How easy is it to change over the suspension springs? I have managed to get hold off some lowered springs

Easy peasy - allegedly. Around 20 mins per corner.

BDC is a good one to ask.

If you find another set, give me a shout!!

Are they proper lowered ones or just cut down standard ones?

If you get them changed, can I borrow the standard ones to see about getting some lowered ones made up?

I think they should have the same number of coils as the originals and proper flattened off ends, not coils that just stop suddenly in mid air (If you understand what I mean).

Mine are a pretty light blue colour the standard ones i took off were black don't know if they are all black did notice a big diff when i stood em both together standard and non. Took me longer than 20 mins per corner ran into a stumble on the fronts and had to whip one of the front struts down to me mates garage to finish, I was worried about the clearance cos some mugger told me it would drop it by 70 mm but no, i fear 50mm is more like it, just right but still leaves a fair arch gap :( Top tip i went and bought meself an inpact bar after breaking two ratchets with an extension pole on them, i keep it in the van now with a socket for undoing the wheel nuts cos the standard wheel nut one doesn't fit my nuts  :D :!: :!:

I'm still looking for a standard set so I can check the viability of having a batch of proper lowered ones made up.

If anybody can lend me a set I'd be grateful.

Does lowering the suspension reduce the Bongo height by 5cm then? The reason i ask is because this would mean we could get our Bongo in our garage and also it would look good into the bargain!

I wish i could shed some light here...I can't though, i was owed a "freebie" job at the garage that fitted my lowering springs,i simply dropped my bongo off in the morning, then picked it back up that afternoon.

I asked how much it WOULD have cost me, they reckoned about £20-£25 per corner. Easy job they said.

I had the job carried out by Willis motors in Warrington. Their bongo expert is a good friend of mine called kev.
