Side door closure

Post by lou » Fri Aug 22, 2008 10:28 am

Hi all, sorry if I'm about to ask a Q that has been answered but I can't find what I'm looking for when I do a search.

What exactly is the soft closure supposed to be like with the side door? My door opens and closes fine but when I close the door there is a whirring sound - I imagine that its the soft closure mechanism but I'm not experiencing any form of 'soft closure'. Hope that makes sense... :)

Any ideas?

Sounds as though you are slamming the door shut in the usual van fashion. You need to gently push the door until you make contact with the contacts onthe door pillar and the door will then pull itself into the fully closed position. Experiment, you will soon get the hang of it
