JUust check the flappy plastic bits aren't catching on the tyre - mine does occasionally

Depends on the noise really

Turn the front wheels to full lock and have a look at the rubber gaitor that's around the drive shaft on the inside of the centre of the wheel. If it's split or showing signs of leaking, then the CV Joint will be on it's way out.
Loud clicking noise???
Dave (just ordered a new pair myself!)

is it 4wd. the shafts can be a pain to separate, ie bashing it with a big hammer to take apart. i havnt done one myself but if you search on the forum. i think overall its easier to get a garage to do it.
a clicking noise on sharp corners indicates cv joint, does it do it when normal driving, sometimes ive seen a stone trapped which rubs on the brake parts which creates the same symptoms.
best guess would be cv but any decent garage would be able to determine if it is that.

Certainly sounds like a CV joint on the way out - can be a bugger of a job to do - took me over three hours just to get the driveshaft off the joint - been there , done it , don`t want to have to do it again.

Hi, Before you change anything have a check round the wheel area. This is personal experience from 2 years ago. I found the plate at the rear of the brake assembly (thin metal plate) was slightly bent and rubbed on the wheel any time the wheels were put on full lock. The wheel bearing had been replaced 2 days earlier and the mechanic (?) hadn't fully tightened the wheel nuts. CV joints usually make a clicking type noise. Hope this may help.

I never had the typical clicking noise when my cv joint was goosed...just a distant graunching sound, only on right hand lock, it turned out to be the left hand side joint that was bust.
