Re: Warning Peeps
I finally disconnected my bleeping bleeper, Bliss, when I have more time I will reconnect the lights on warning and possibly the roof warning as well, what drove me to it was cleaning the van while trying to listen to the radio while the doors were open, as I said bliss for the time being.

Re: Warning Peeps
I just got rid of the "door open -key in ignition" beep by disconnecting the white plug under the steering wheel.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

No Beep

No other beeps effected, but there again, ours is a manual lowroof, so less to beep at in the first place.

The first time you reverse into someone or something by mistake (selected wrong gear)
OOps wish I had a bleep to remind me.
Only a thought.

Re: Warning Peeps
the bleeps drive my daughter up the wall BUT I refuse to disconnect for the above reason - I drive she dosen't too young if when she passes her test and can afford her own insurance (fat chance) then I might disconnect some of the bleeps until then she can put up with them as I do!! Safety first - silence second!!
Be nice to everyone they might be nice back.

Re: Warning Peeps
I fail to understand why people want to dis-arm safety features on their Bongo. To my mind the AFT raising/lowering beep, lights on beep and doors open beep are essential safety features. The only doubt is the reversing beep but as I tend to drive my Bongo forwards nearly all of the time I find the beep reassuring when selecting reverse on the odd occasion. Why do you need the door open when cleaning the vehicle? why not just open a window and close the door -the beeper will not operate with just the window open. Alteratively, as the beep only works on the front doors why not open the sliding door? I am not trying to be argumentative here, I just think that disarming safety features (most of which are found on most modern cars) is not a good idea.

Re: Warning Peeps
I aint got any beeps on my bongo when reversing, apart from the beeping bulb I fitted, mine is a 96 flat top so perhaps its only the later models.
Re: Warning Peeps
Definitely not just the later models David. Mine's an "N" reg. and it has beeps for reversing, door open - keys in ignition, roof, and lights left on. Maybe yours have already been disconnected?David Edwards wrote:I aint got any beeps on my bongo when reversing, apart from the beeping bulb I fitted, mine is a 96 flat top so perhaps its only the later models.
