Cleaned the inside of the Van

Post by thedogsbollox » Fri May 30, 2008 6:20 pm

When i cleaned the inside of the Van i found that the left rear window dosen't open. It has hinges on the front like the others but a different thing on the rear which don't open. Is this the norm? if so why?
I also found that having the ignition off, which does not allow you to use the stuff that you would like to use (Lights, roof, lighter sockets, blinds), does let you use the HORN much to the annoyance of the neighbours when i was washing the inside of the windscreen.
Once again Why?
Dunno if you know this one or not but you can wash the sunroof glass by standing on the hoop that locks the door in on the door pillar (sliding door). I am a big lad and didn't bend it so i give it a SWL of 16st.

The Front mats were in an apauling state so i threw them in the washing machine. Saw a Laundry tag on there and in faded japanese it definitely said that it would be alright on a cotton wash at 60deg. Honest

If you mean the window near the sliding door, it doesn't open because the door would break it.

Brave man! My mats came up nice after a spin in the machine, they smelled much sweeter. The machine was pretty yuk afterwards tho'. :-"

Ah, Doone beat me to it!
The rear window is static to stop the sliding door hitting it.

I know what you mean they are odd..
Been doing a bit of modding & each job i do i blow at least one fuse, :? then when it's finished it works fine! :P
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

That makes sense.
Wonderful what you find whilst cleaning. On the left side middle seatbelt, where the carpet covers the mounting bolt, there is a nylon clothing tag thing (the things that hold labels onto new clothes, flat one end and Y shaped the other) through the carpet to aid in the lifting of that flap of carpet as it is velcro'd down. Now is this a manufactured stroke of genius or has a previous owner done this? I thought it was very clever.
