Bottom ball joint rubber boot

Post by Steve L » Thu May 22, 2008 8:10 pm

My bongo passed its MOT today :D but the tester advised me that the offside ball joint rubber boot had split and the nearside was about to split. It looked like the rubber had perished due to age although there was no perceptible wear in either ball joint. Is anyone aware of a compatible replacement for the rubber. The alternative is replacing the whole lower swing arms at over £300.
Thanks
Steve

recently had the same with mine, i dont think you can replace the rubbers.apart from getting new wishbones you could replace the balljoint(available on ebay)if you have the tools to do the job or get a pair of wishbones from a breakers.
there is a fact sheet available for changing the wishbones 8)
the voices made me do it!
