Hi I just bought some new wipers from the shop, and I thought they would be easy to fit! - but I'm struggling a bit.
The existing wipers seem to pivot on a small shaft , which is sort riveted in - presumably I have to remove this - how do I get it off??
Any help would be most appreciated
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
The "small shaft" goes through a plastic adaptor that slots in a U shaped crook at the end of the wiper arm.
You basically slide out the adaptor with the wiper on it (it might be stiff) down the arm out of the crook to remove.
(you might be able to see what i mean easier if you flip the blade back on the wiper arm to form a kind of T shape, then look where it pivots).
Now you should have a collection of universal adaptors that came in the box with the new blades.. usually packaged at the bottom of the box.
Find one that is similar in size to the one you removed & fit to the new blade, if it's not already fitted.. then reverse the procedure.

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Re: Fitting Wiper blades
You may be able to reuse the old adapter once you've slid it out, should have a little "catch" on it that may need pressing in with a screwdriver.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
