If you're at a bit of a loose end on Sunday with Haworth being cancelled, will be at the information centre car park in Downham village, on the side of Pendle Hill from 11 am. Plenty of free parking, ice cream shop, pub, picnic benches, post office and tea rooms - award winning toilets! There is a nice brook that runs through the village and is famous for all the ducks. The village was the set for the film whistle down the wind and more recently for the BBC series born and bred.
Here's some info on the pub and the village if anybody's interested.

Just post here if you fancy it, or turn up!
Thanks,

ps. There's also the sheep festival in Clitheroe and annual beer festival this weekend too which is worth a look, pm if you want any details

Regards getting to Downham, the road from the A59 from the Worston turnoff can be a bit windy and is single track with passing places, though it is the prettiest route. An alternative is to take the turn off for Chatburn, go into the village and at Hudsons Ice cream shop on the corner (homemade yum) turn up the hill called "Downham Road", you will go over a bridge and a couple of miles away you get to the Assheton Arms in Downham where the road forks bear right just follow the road round past the brook and the entrance to the car park is on your right.
