Rear Diff Oil

Post by ChrisT » Thu May 01, 2008 3:27 pm

Hi all

Got our Bongo serviced, and it now runs great (after conking out twice on the way to the garage due to belt troubles, another story)

Anyways, the rear diff oil needs a change, and he needs to know what sort of oil?

Would have thought he'd have known that, but I need the info for when I take it back to get other odds and sods sorted before trekking to the Lakes

Ain't it great when you get yer motor back and it runs great

Also, bush seals need replacing soon, are they easily available?

Cheers all

:)

There's a fact sheet in the members area about diff oil, and how to change it.

Standard is Genuine longlife hypoid gear oil SAE90 (GL–5)

for bongos with LSD you alegedly want Genuine slip less gear oil SAE90 (GL–6)

Hope that helps?
