I found there was a small plastic cap on either side of the radio front. They prise off then you have to deal with the out of sight clip system. I did it with a small screwdriver blade inserted down the side and manipulated until that side felt loose and then repeating on the other side. This is how I remember it!!

Weclome Carl, I'm interested in this as I am about to get round to replacing mine. Local auto sparks charges a minimum 1 hour labour @ £40 plas vat, so it's diy.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

right, just had a go at the radio, there are the two plastic covers on the edge of the radio as described by an earlier reply, they ping off easily with a screwdriver, then it exposes two holes either side, i cut the top off two coat hangers and tapped one in to each side as far as they will go then with a bit of wiggling it came out,
cheers

Force the coat hangers out to the left and right away from the radio and pull. Did mine yesterday and it took a little wiggling to get out, the radio that is!!
By the way, the single spade connector is the radio earth cable. A factsheet about audio is in the members area too cheers
