air intake cowl

Post by steady1946 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 10:05 pm

Anyone out there have a picture of the air intake cowl in situ.I have just had to buy one from Bell Garage because when I bought my Bongo I noticed it did not have a cowl on the air intake,so I don't know what it looks like when fitted!!

I found a picture of the cowl on another thread. It's for the heater Francophile.Point is along with the cowl I got this foam which is sticky on one side.Does this go around the inside of the lip of the cowl inside and then the whole thing is pushed onto the air intake? :?

Thanks Bigdaddycain.I got the cowl from Bellshill Garage and had a word with him today. He said the foam that is around the air intake is usually really stuck,so he cut a length of foam that he had in the garage for me to put on the air intake so that I would get an air tight connection.I think that would explain it.Now all iv'e got to do is put it on!
