My Bongo went in for MOT yesterday & they changed the tyres on the back as they were different to the ones on the front, the MOT people said that different sized tyres may damage the transfer box.
I knew they were different tyres as I'd read about tyre sizes on Bongo Fury & thought for even weight distribution this was better (I had on the reccommended for front & back).
Can anyone clarify if having different (I think wider ones) on the back is OK or not. The smaller ones now on the back look a bit odd, & well, small!

Re: Tyre question
Lots on the forum about this. The Bongo is meant to have different sizes front and rear - have a look at the plate inside the door jamb. It is meant to provide safe driving characteristics, i.e. understeer.
Point is although they are different sizes (front narrower, rear wider), they are the same rolling circumference (and diameter, too, come to that), and won't damage the transmission.
Many of us run on the same size all round, and that's OK (and allows you to have a proper spare wheel, legally), but most will be on the wider rear tyre size all round, not the skinny front ones.
The rear tyres need a higher load rating - 96, fronts only need to be 92. So as long as the garage have fitted at least 96 load rating on the back, you will be legal. If not go back to the garage and have them swap them straight away.
Also if your old tyres were legal treadwise etc., anyway - well that is something you might want to take up with the garage, too.

Re: Tyre question
They changed the tyres without asking you and fitted the narrower ones meant for the front?
I'd report them to VOSA if I were you,
http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosacorp/aboutvosa/aboutvosa.htm
as if you now have 195/70-15 92 tyres all round it is now illegal.
Take it back, show them the plate inside the driver's door opening which specifies the correct tyre sizes 195/70-15 92 front and 215/65-15 96 rear and tell them to replace the correct tyres.
