EGR valve - ballbearing

Post by ccrobins » Fri Mar 14, 2008 2:58 pm

I have read that simply putting in a ball bearing into the pipe going into the EGR will stop the black smoke when you put your foot down but also give slightly better fuel economy

any thoughts on this - is it true ?

does sound right mechanically but is it bongo true ?

Has long as the valve is shutting properly it will work
if the valve is seized or leaking it wont give it a go nothing
to lose, I take it you mean the small vacuum pipe that
goes to the valve.
