Gearbox Speed Sensor

Post by smac02 » Thu Mar 06, 2008 4:26 pm

Hi all,
I'm trying to install my AP500 cruise control to my Bongo. I've read through all the prvious posts that relate to the spped sensor but cannot find a difinitive answer. I nee to know which wire is the gearbox sensor. I'm guessing on my auto it's the little sensor that is on the rear nearside of the gearbox, midway down. Ideally I'd like to find the wire in the cab area end for ease of installation. Does anyone know for sure if the wire goes to the ecu or the speedo and which coulour wire would it be?

To add to my pevious post. I have located the Auto Gearbox speed sensor wire at the ECU in the cab. The answer was in the Workshop manual. Very easy to tap into and works the cruise control a treat. If anyone needs help on this matter just drop me apost.

PS there are two speed sensor wires identified on the ECU one works, the other doesn't

The usual connection is to the the blue wire at the rear of the speedo.
