Engine Map
Good Morning...having done a few searches without success, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a website or document that has a detailed map of a bongo engine (one preferably for technical morons).
I'm a new addition to the bongo community and have been very happy to see the helpful nature of these forums as I suspect I will need a lot more advice in the future!
The bongo has had a mixed start so far...an overheating problem has caused a few problems early in the relationship and whilst I've read all I can about the potential remedies, my lack of basic mechanical knowledge has hindered my attempts so far to rectify them...hence the engine map request.
Any help will be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.
Jon.

A map? Hmm I think the closest you will get to that are exploded daigrams as used for part identification http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... A05tr.html
Well I have to be careful what I say here as I don't want to cost the Bongomeister any business. If you are used to reading Haynes manuals then this isn't it. Workshop manuals are aimed at garage staff so they assume a certain level of knowledge whereas a Haynes manual tends to explain things at a more basic level. Personally I don't find the Mazda service manual all that helpful although you could argue that any manual is better than nothing. I think your best bet is to do your research on here and ask questions if you can't find what you are looking for. There are plenty of fact sheets if you join the club as well.

Also, Bongoloid (welcome by the way), there is a guy on ebay who sells what he claims are Bongo workshop manuals on CD. They are not, but they are (by all accounts) Ford Ranger engine manual CDs. Since that is the engine fitted to the Bongo, there is a case for saying it might meet your needs. Don't risk serious money on it though, but £5-10 wouldn't be didaastrous even if it didn't give you all you want).
Out of interest, how is a manual going to help you. Do you have a cunning plan? There's been lots of debate and discussion about the Bongo coolant system, how it works and what might have caused some to brew up. Worth spending some time 'searching' on here if you haven't already.
Good luck in getting it sorted.

The Engine Manual we sell through the club shop is for the WL-T engine, which is the one used on the Ford Ranger, and the Australian Ford Bronco.
