Sliding door won't open

As described in a recent posting, Bongo has refused to start due to drained battery. I have now topped up the battery and it will start. Only problem now is that the sliding door won't open. I assume that the electric function has locked somehow. Any ideas?

Isn't the opening mechanism electric?

Sorry... will it open from the outside (if you only tried from the inside). You may have the child lock if you can open it from the outside, but not from the inside.

It won't open from outside or inside. I suspect there was insufficient power in the flat battery to close the contacts properly and now they are stuck perhaps. Does anyone know the solution?

Have tried to check fuse without success. The manual refers to a chart showing the fuses-this does not appear to exist and what info there is in the fuse box is in Japanese. If I do find the correct fuse, how do I extract it?
Do i assume then that the solution is to remove the door panel and poke around a bit?

If it is a child lock problem, then how do I get at the child lock to unlock it?

its not the child lock it would open from outside.

the fuse is the 15 amp blade fuse bottom left on the drivers side(by your right knee)

if not you need to take the pannel off the inside and pull the opener bar

see the link I gave above for someone who has fixed just this problem

I have fixed the door! Hurrah!!
It was nothing to do with electrical things. I simply manhandled the mechanism in the lower section of the door and it released whatever was stuck and gave the familiar whirring noise.
You can imagine my relief.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help.

Great its fixed

seams that if the battery is flat and it cannot run its cycle it freezes and the only way to fix it is, as you say, pull the opener to start it.
