Disconnecting front diff

Post by Responder59 » Sun Feb 17, 2008 5:29 pm

Just been chatting to a German tourist here in sunny St Ives. He says he has had the front diff on his Bongopanzer (his words, not mine!) disconnected and gained an immediate 25% improvement in fuel consumption!!

Be interested in any discussion on this, just don't mention the war!

I'd take that with a bit of sauerkraut!!! - it's still lugging all the extra weight about, even if it's not driving the front wheels.

Did you see his German Bongo? Has it got Seat Ibiza headlights?

Been many posts about how it's not possible to register a Bongo in Germany without a headlight change...

Back on topic; 2.5% I could believe, perhaps he had the decimal point in the wrong place?
