RoosterUK`s Birthday Beach BBQ Bash

Post by Bongoplod » Sat Feb 16, 2008 7:25 pm

It was Roosters birthday and that wonderful man Daveblueozzie covertly
organised a NW/Yorks day meet on Ainsdale Beach, all done via PM`s,as a surprise for him....I think he was quite pleased.

WELL DONE AND THANKS TO DAVE AND CAZ.

Well attended,I believe 23 Bongos plus to private cars.Everyone had a good day and the weather was kind to us,and nice to see everyone again.

Northwest and Yorks gang give yourselves a big hand for again showing `em what we can do up `ere

Fantastic day out. Big thanks to DBO for organising. Personal thanks to Plod for 2 x cups of tea (saved me from hypothermia). Will post my pics in the fullness (plus BDC has an interesting video clip showing a rarely seen bit of Bongo capability - hope he'll get that up - the clip dear, the clip - in due course). 8)

i have got to thank Caz (roosters better half) and roosters lovely mum, for supplying the barms and sausage rolls which i had to pick up from his mums without him knowing ,and not forgetting that fabulous cake, which seemed a shame to cut but tasted fandabidozy.
Lost without my Bongo.

Bummer! I missed something good. Looking at those great pictures brought tears into my eyes. June and I attended a residental school in Birkdale for many years The school was just behind the Royal Birkdale Golf Course just a mile or two up the coast from Ainsdale. The tears come from remembering the school cross country race which I took part in every year. Along the old Cheshire lines railway track (now the coast road) then up and down the sandhills god knows how many times, it was pure purgatory.
All the best Karl I trust you had a tipsy day.

A great day and nice to meet most of you for the first time. :D
Brill pics Bongoplod I was going to post some but yours are better.
Hope Rooster can have his birthday around July next year.
Only downside to the day was when I started the Bongo to warm it up before setting off, closed the door and the alarm locked all the doors.
As luck would have it the drivers door was only closed on the saftey latch and opened.
