HELP. WHERE DOES THE OIL GO IN!

please help a new bongolier i tried to top up oil I have a 2.5 petrol auto friendee 4D SG5W found the dipstick ok but where doe the oil go in as my engine dont look like the one on the fact sheet.

Cripes. From memory it should be be the rather obvious looking knurled cap in a line more or less up from the dipstick i.e. towards the front end of the rocker cover. I'm guessing, but it should have a dripping oil can symbol or similar on it. Its certainly under the same engine cover as the dipstick anyway. If in doubt, wait for further replies to your post.

Isn't that for your diesel engine Mike?
Sorry but I've never even seen the petrol engined version :oops:

on my v6... dipstick is passenger side...oil filler cap is under drivers seat....i can see the confusion as momentarily you may think this has summat to do with the atf dipstick which is nearby the oil filler cap...well it had me for a mo anyhow :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi,

As said before it's under the drivers seat, black plastic cap on top of the engine. Just behind that is the dipstick for the autobox and nearer the outside is the power steering reservior.

I concur pain in the ass when you first change the oil, you have to keep walkin around the van to check the level :roll:

Ozric, Well done for the link, I have just started to do jobs on my daughter in laws Bongo or as I am told its my Grandson's, anyway managed to do all the brake pads and then renew the earth on the fuel tank sender, but where the **ll was the engine guessed it was under the seat but no way could I get in to it, and then sinple change a bulb er no not simple, BUT THAT video on you tube has done the job.

Thanks to the maker of the clips. Keep them coming. :lol:
