Battery questions.

Post by Skydiver » Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:09 pm

My bongo has a second battery already fitted as standard from japan as part of the winter package.

1. My question is, does it already have a split relay charging system fitted to charge it?
2. if so can I then just put in a leisure battery in it's place?
3. or do I have to put another split charging system in place for the new leisure battery?

I just put a switch in the positive cable between the batteries and used the second battery as a leisure battery. There is a risk of flattening both batteries if you forget the switch, but it's never happened to me.
