button immediately right of ignition

Evening all

'Still absolutely loving having my Bongo back. Just a quick question...there's a flippable button on the lower portion of the dashboard (it seems as though it' supposed to light up-the switch that is). It's not listed in the manual so I'm wondering what it actually is.

Any ideas?

Cheers

If it is basically round with a small red illuminated dot in the rocking bit then most likely the rear fog. If none visible then you have probably had your O/S reversing light rewired and a red bulb.
Imperial tend to do this and although it is 100% neater than an under the bumper dangler, it makes reversing in the dark a real bugger!

Ours has 3 the lower one is the rear fog light only works with
lights on the other 2 are cold start for very cold temp "not used
in uk" and the other is for the rear heater.

In some cases, the A/B rocker switch insignia has worn off.

If your bongo has front foglights, and lights on the bullbars, the A/B switch switches between the two. (not in all cases, just some)

flip the switch with the lights on and see if it then lights up. like they said it sounds like the fog lights and you need the headlights on for it to work

I've just replaced my rear light (had an argument with a tree - don't ask!), & I have the one of these "reversing lights converted to a fog light" arrangements. My question is: Is it sufficient to have a red bulb as a fog light? If not presumbably I would have to spray some red paint on the inside of the light? My old light looked like it had been sprayed on the inside.

I'd clean all that red stuff out of the light cluster personally (upsets the symmetry  ) and fit one of these....

Or you can buy these....

That way, you can clear all that red rubbish (that eventually turns pink) out of the lens. When all the lights are off, each side will match, and look factory...
