About to purchase a new shape.

Post by pete wylie » Mon Jan 21, 2008 3:46 pm

Hi there everybody, I am about to get my first Bongo. I am off to JAL in Worcester tomorrow to view and sign off on the conversion and I just wanted to know is there anything for me to check on the test drive? I have been a little anxious regarding cooling and temperature guages. All being well I will be the proud owner of a 1999 V6 by the end of next month, if not sooner. I will be leaving home around 0900 so I hope to get the time to read any replies before I go. Thanks for the time, Pete. :P

Have you read the "buying" section on the homepage of this site? Plenty of good advice on what to look out for when buying. Good luck with your purchase - I hope all goes well for you.

Good luck with your new Bongo. I'm sure Phil at JAL will look after you.
Ask him regarding your question on alarms. He stocks and sell/ fits them at a very competative price.

Thanks for the responses so far. I have found my way to the buying section on the homepage, a very useful info page. I will be talking with Phil @ JAL tomorrow and I'm sure he will 'look after us'. As for being the other Pete Wylie, I wish I was picking up the royalties for 'singing the blues', which I won't be once I have my Bongo.

Hi pete, as you have probably gathered, its the diesel bongo that seems to suffer from overheating issues, you should be laughing with the v6, i can't think of an inherent fault with the v6.... Good luck with your new purchase, be sure to post some pics of your new motor....and make us all jealous!
