REar aircon problem - garage can't fix it!

This is my first post and it is one of utter desperation.

To cut a long story short;
This is my second bongo, so impressed with the first one (N reg un-converted) spent a fortune on a S reg Montague. Collected it on the 6 October 2007. On 13 October 2007 smacked it into a concrete pillar

Went to my local bodyshop and they said they could do the job. However this is where I cut the story short for all of you still awake.

ITS NOT FIXED YET!!

Latest problem (before the side conversion is put back in again) is that the rear aircon system had to be taken out to get to the bodywork repair. The garage the bodyshop use have replaced the aircon system but can't seem to work out how to bleed the system. I don't do DIY bongo stuff, as I am a professional bean counter so not really got an idea what they mean other than the bodyshop man keeps refering to water!

Can anyone help.

Are they talking about coolant bleeding?? If so plenty of info on factsheets

Welcome to the madhouse and commiserations on your problem.
If the garage thinks the system should be bled, I'd take it elsewhere. It has to be filled with oil and gas so take it to an aircon place (even Kwik-Fit refill the systems).

Print off the bleeding guide in the members area and give it to the garage.

Failing that, do what I did and get it to someone who knows what they are doing. It is the responsibility of the garage that undertook the work to carry it out, even if this means they have to get it to someone else.

I just assumed he was talking about the water side of things

Markski - the garage ought to have enough sense to call in an aircon specialist to charge the system. I managed to source one and book him to inspect a Bongo 200 miles away that I'd not even bought, and I'm a complete numpty (shut up you lot) so a garage ought to be able to look through the local yellow pages
