Mini Meet Townley Hall Burnley Sunday 3rd Feb 08 northw/york
Hiya Bongoliers (came out highest in poll)
Would anyone fancy a mini meet at Townley Hall in Burnley on Sunday 3rd February 08
http://www.burnley.gov.uk/towneley/site ... tegoryID=3
Okay..
They have a brand new carpark for 400 cars with toilet facilities and a kiosk - The Riverside Car Park.
Within a short walking distance there is the Hall itself (visited at Halloween by Most Haunted Live). The Hall is fantastic, warm dry and very friendly.
Many rooms to visit and the children can be occupied by completing the mouse hunt. Each room has a mouse hidden and can be found with aid of a clue sheet. They have the usual Gift shop. Photograph Exhibition on Wildlife also on display.
Adjacent to the Hall is a cafe for hot or cold food. The management have agreed to provide a concession on Tea and Coffee to club members on production of membership card. £1.00 per brew, tea or coffee.
There are nature trails and a park/play area for the little ones if required.
Cost:
Parking 0.80 for the day
Hall £3.50 for Adults children Free (if you are a burnley resident it is free entry)
Tea and Coffee in the Cafe (not kiosk) £1.00 with Member ID.
Mouse Hunt 0.50p (includes free Pencil with Rubber)
The Hall Opens at 12.00p.m. till 5.00p.m.
Harry suggests we meet from 10.00 a.m.
If I can have an idea on numbers that would be great..
Hope this interests you....

Open Sunday
Yup the Hall is open Sunday.
They have 2 carparks, but the one outside the hall is limited parking and is charged at 50p per hour. So.. The Carpark close to the hall in the grounds is bigger and cheaper.. 80p for the whole day...
Hope that helps you..
