A Day Meet with a twist!!!!!NEW DATE SUNDAY 9TH MARCH 2008

Post by Dabs » Wed Jan 09, 2008 8:32 pm

Hi Peeps
Last year I had some contact with a fledgeling Club and Forum for the Nissan Largo which is also a Japanese import.
It was suggested at the time that we get together someday for a meet up.The chap who runs the Largo Club Alan has been in touch and asked if any of us would be interested in a Joint Club Day Meet at Tatton Park date being proposed as Sunday 23rd March 2008.

I think its a great idea please post any interest I know its early days yet but Im sure peeps would put a good show on and it would be interesting for both sides to have a look at their respective vehicles.

I think im correct in saying that the Nissan Largo is largely used as an mpv some people do camp in them like we do in the Bongo but generally the Largo is more a customised/pimped vehicle there are some really nice vans out there to look at just as there are some lovely Bongos and Fredas.

So any interest just post on here!! :D

Cheers Dabs

Little update on this one!!
It will be attended by 3 clubs now as the Toyota Estima Club will be included as well.
Import MPVs of the NW unite!!!

NEW DATE FOR THIS ONE NOW SUNDAY 9TH MARCH 2008

Oh yes... The Largo was choice no.2 for me... Moving seats and remote aircon and all that... very nice and chromey but... It aint a Bongo and my heart was set on a White 2wd... I'd love to join a day outski, but I know Ady will be droolin at the chrome and leather... Its nice but I didn't feel as "at home" in one. Chap at Keighley imports loads of them and generally they start at £6999.00. Tooo much for 2nd car me thinks...

Tatton Park is only 5 minutes from where I live :) the 23rd is the Easter weekend, so we may be away, but if not away, count us in.

I could be on for this, it's Easter weekend and the start of the motor racing season at Oulton Park, but due to miserable gits who live nearby, there's no track action on the Sunday

Hopefully will be able to make it - if the kids can leave their Easter eggs long enough. At least the weather won`t be as challenging as it was at Buxton.

CHANGE OF DATE

Post by Dabs » Fri Jan 18, 2008 5:25 pm

Sorry Peeps!!!

There will be a change of date for the joint meet at Tatton Park, the admin from the Largo Club has spoken to Tatton Park to try and reserve a line of car park (enough for @ 30 vans) only to be told that they have some events on and are reluctant to allow it.

So this Meet will still take place its just when!! I have left it with the Largo Club to decide it will be in March or early April and I have told them that the majority of the Bongos are away on the weekend 14,15,16 March at Cartmel.

Sorry about that but I will post again as soon as I know a deffinite date!!
Cheers Dabs
