Broken Rear Window Washer?

Post by Trigger » Mon Dec 31, 2007 8:25 pm

I am having some problems with the rear washer on my Bongo. The wiper is working fine yet the washer is not. The front is all working fine so I am assume it runs off a separate motor. Is this the case and if so is would there be a seprate fuse which I could check first.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the madhouse.
Have you checked the water level? The outlet for the rear washer is higher than the front, so it stops working first.

The rear stops working first if the water is low so it may be
worth topping it up if you have not already,
no mention of the washer fuses on the diagram I have.

Check to see if the hose has become disconnected at the top of the rear door. It happened to mine, and the water eventually seeped through the lining on the inside.

The fuse which does the washer is the same which does the wiper, so if the fuse goes you lose both - well I did on mine.

So if the wiper's working and the washer pump is not, then it's not a fuse.
