Airbag Maximum Life

Somebody told me that Airbags have a maximum life of 10 years and then need to be replaced regardless. Volvo used to state that their airbags must be replaced after 10 years although this has been extended to 15 years. My Bongo has an airbag is is just under 10 years old but I can't find any information regarding Mazda and airbag systems. Does anybody know or have information regarding this?

I changed my 1st airbag after 13 years, the next after only 7 months, this airbag is still going strong after 7 years....
