My fuel gauge has been playing up - yes, I've read all the posts and at some stage plan to investigate the 'dodgy earth' issue.
But yesterday, when one of my kids sat in the back, and then turned on the rear blower/heater, the gauge suddenly went from nearly empty back up to 3/4 full, which is where it should have been.
Any ideas how the heater/blower and/or its controls could have affected the level transmitter?

It is possible an earth problem - I think (not 100%) that the wiring for the heater controls goes into the same loom as the fuel sender.
The easiest way to add another earth is to tap a wire off one of the holes in the rim of the tank and add the other end to one of the bolts already in the cill area.
No guarantees, as I have just replaced a sender unit
