Dublin Owner - Bongo Service in UK?

Post by timorr » Sun Nov 25, 2007 8:05 pm

I am going on a Europe based trip over Christmas and want to get me Bongo in good form...
-new front shocks
-electrics need a good looking at (including air condition system)
-maybe new tyres and all the rest....!
Problem is cant find anywhere in Dublin
Can anyone help?
I will drive through the UK ie. North Wales to South England (ferry ports)
the week before Christmas, do you think that there is someone who could do a quick fix on my travels through uk????
I may also visit friend near Leeds for day or two, so a helpful garage up that way could be a solution.
Or.....should I just order parts from uk and get my adventure started early????
So many questions, but I am feeling lost...
Thanks
Tim

Wellhouse who are very close to Leeds, are one of the original importers of Bongos to the UK, have an in house mechanic, and keep loads of parts in stock.

They probably know as much about Bongos as anyone in the UK.

You will need to book in, and if you need new shockers, you would need to warn them of that, 'cos I doubt if that is something they would have in stock.

You could even leave your van there and return to Leeds on the bus (stop right outside), or train (Shepley station walkable)

They advertise on the main website.

Hope that helps

(This is not 'admin' so I am moving it to ...err 'Chat'. This breaks my rule of not moving stuff to chat, but there you go. Or should it be 'Stuff Wanted'? Or should it be techie? Probably yes. "Techie" it is)

(Oh yes, changed the title to make it clearer, ie what is being sought)

If you are after tyres, I think Wellhouse stock well-priced Nangkang tyres and Yokohamas (dearer).

(Remember to fill up with diesel before you leave Ireland, our diesel is €1.466 (£1.05) a litre. Yours is still less than €1.11 isn't it?)
