My Bongo is back !!!!!!!!!!! yipeeeeeeeee

Post by hils » Fri Nov 23, 2007 6:53 pm

Well i last posted a couple of weeks ago with a few problems with my Bongo namely awful noise coming from steering when turning left/right...

Anyway has been at the garage for a week!!! (been sorely missed.....more so coz only carin the household!!!)

It needed new cv joint innre/outer....The power steering fluid had been leaking caused problems with diff to slip ..

Its all sorted now...and not even my a Bongo specialist...

It was my local trusted volvo specialist, whos over the years has serviced my volvo...can be trusted and was so impressed by the car is looking to buy one himself....

I can recommend him if anyone is interested we are in Glossop Derbyshire and he is in Hyde Cheshire.....

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee my Bongo is back

Glad to hear it's sorted hils but if your trusted mechanic is telling you that a power steering leak is causing the diff to slip I'd be looking at getting it fixed elsewhere

Was it a "reasonable" bill?

Great news hils and a reassuring (for all of us) compliment to the magnificent Bongo. Now....

Shut up and Drive

I have obviously got the diagnosed illness of my Bongo wrong...!!!

I had new cv joint fitted, 2 rear anti roll brackets & bushes, diff bush,
( I am no mechanic dont even know what these things are)
To be honest it was running like a bag of bones...and had refused to drive becauseI thought wheels would fall off!!!!

Total cost incl labour £303.00

Seems reasonable hils - i'd be interested to know what diff bush was replaced - there's been a few posts from folks with noisy front diffs.
