Glow plugs

Post by Labusch » Mon Nov 19, 2007 10:51 pm

I am having trouble starting my Bongo first thing in the morning. Everyone sems to think that its the glo plugs so got some on the way. Whilst reserching I noticed that you can buy a glo plug relay which is £75. Does anyone know much about these ie where are they, can they be tested and do they cause many problems.

Glow plug relay is to the left of the battery (with a "polythene" cover) and clicks when you turn ignition on - if it doesn't click, it may be bust. Not usually a major problem item.

Try and find a garage / mechanic who knows Bongos if poss too Labusch so you get honest service etc. - unless you are up for it yourself of course
