Interior Lights Delay Dimmer

Post by jackstringer » Sun Nov 18, 2007 6:50 pm

This is a bit Pimp and a bit Techie.

I would like to make the interior lights in Mongo stay on for a few seconds then dim and then off. Like many modern cars have as standard. Now I was wondering if any here have seen a 'smart relay' that I could just connect to the interior lights in the front of my bongo.

I am also tempted to put a 10second delay relay on the strip light near to the sliding door just to give passengers a few seconds to get seatbelts on etc.

I found a electronic diagram of a system that should work but would like to buy a pre assembled one if I can as its less hassle.

I doubt the Ford thingy would work in a Bongo.

The cct link brings up a blank page.

Try this DIMMER UNIT
I thought of one in the rear, but my rear light is a flourescent.

Well for £5 I am going to try the dimmer kit.

The light by the sliding door is a florescent but you can use a 10second delay relay on it just to switch on and off. Which is my plan.

'dome light supervision'

Post by ADAMD » Tue Nov 20, 2007 2:34 pm

Some alarms have this feature, also turns light on as you remotely unlock doors. Refered to as'dome light supervision' on my alarm.

Timer looks like a simple add on though.
