Ours has a full side conversion and the fire extinguisher bracket bolts neatly behind the drivers seat, using the holes where the fold out seat/footrest once was.

We have a Full Side Conversion. This is where ours is.

Call me a devils advocate if you like but can the fire extinguisher on the photo at the back of the full conversion be taken out quickly without opening the rear door. If it can't I strongly suggest you move it!

The position behind the driver's seat is ideal, because we always have the driver's seat folded forward when cooking (don't want to get cooking splashes on the Alcantara  ). I reckon you are most likely to need it for a cooker incident - so ours is right next to our cooker, immediately at hand.

Also another point - on our Wellhouse conversion there is less than an inch clearance between the back of the wardrobe and the rear door - it is contoured to follow the line of the door.

When people tell you a 'side conversion is a side conversion' there are important differences.

(Andy the pic is great, but just a tad too large...)

I am glad about that. It is difficult to tell from the photo and I know how tricky getting the door open can be in hurry - not something you want to be fiddling with in a fire :)

Extinguisher frame bolted to the floor behind the passenger 's seat using the two existing floor mounted nuts ( no footrests /flipseats fitted ) They also double up to mount two steel cargo tie - down loops.
Easily accessed for use inside or outside the van
