dump valve

Post by meek.tv » Mon Oct 15, 2007 12:10 am

sorry for sounding like a chav-racer ere but is it possible to put a noisey-woosh-type dump valve on the bongo td engine?
always loved the sound of a turbod jap car with a noisey dump valve, might not suit a bongo though, or even work??

You can, but,

1- diesels don't need one
2- they don't work anyway, 'cos diesel don't have a butterfly that slams shut and stops the airflow.
3- they waste energy by "dumping" lots of air pressure just before you need it most.

It's easier just to lean out the window and shout PPPPP-Cherrrrrrrrrrrrrr very loudly.
