Help please - drivers window not working

Post by DaveG » Sat Sep 29, 2007 8:12 pm

I have just had a telephone call from my daughter who is camped in the New Forest in the Bongo. She was sitting in the rear seats with a cuppa and there was a click and the driver's door window went down. The switch doesn't now seem to do anything and the window stays down. Any suggestions on what she should do?

When there is probs with the windows, the usual advice involves messing about with the thin wires in the coil between the door and the door panel.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon.

If she looks at the wires that come out of the door and into the door piller she may find a broken wire. Otherwise she may have blown the fuse.

Thanks Leon. She has pulled the switch out and ''there is a lot of corrosion and mess'' so I presume the switch is shorted and I will try to source a replacement tomorrow.
