Turbo gauge

Has anyone fitted a Turbo Gauge to their belovered or their bongo?
If 'Yees' is it easy to do?

why would you want to do this?

I am only asking because I cannot imagine what benefit it would provide?

But I'm sure you have a reason...

To see if the turbo is holding boost? :wink:

That way you can hold her at maximum boost on a long uphill drag,saves having to "hold" the auto... :wink:

The idea is so I can see when I'm using the turbo (fuel) really just out of interest of what the turbos doing. And I like little gauges :D

Nowt up with that...The more info you have at hand the better! (especially whilst towing) I reckon you'd have a visual indication of the optimum torque characteristic of the bongo engine, instead of just "feeling" for the tip of the torque curve.

Economy may improve too,as you'd be able to adjust the throttle position to take full advantage of the torque...Using the torque of the engine is always a better bet than revving the knackers off it :shock:

Yes, the extra gauges are nice too :wink:

I have fitted a turbo boost gauge. Very easy to fit. If you look at the turbo there are a couple of small rubber hoses (approx 6mm) which come from the pressured side of the turbo. (wifes out in the bongo at present will try to take some picture later). Simply tee into these and run to the gauge. No problem. :D

I fttted the gauge as I like to mointor. i figure that if you know what something (water temp. oil pressure, voltage etc) does normally, you can spot very early when it starts to do something that it shouldnt.

Just my opinion. :shock:
