bee sting aerial

Post by petebee » Mon Aug 27, 2007 11:15 am

broke my bongo aerial on my lilac tree reversing down the drive. It looked so sad and limp! thought about direct replacement but thanks to westonwarrior and aerial replacement factsheet I now have a little beesting fitted.

This works just as well as the original giving good reception even DAB

my question is why?

Is size realy not important ?

That's a good question Petebee...Why is that?

I'm assuming you used a richbrook item to replace your old broken aerial?

I know they are made from alluminium, perhaps that material is a better conductor of the radio waves?

As you probably noticed, extending the original aerial on the bongo actually worked, you just had to bear it in mind to re-tract it again as soon as possible.

I've not tried a richbrook aerial on my bongo yet,but i did try one out on my focus, but the reception was actually worse with that car...so i wasn't that bothered when it got pinched

I paid £2 for a replacement from the scrappy...You can tell it wasn't for a bongo at that price eh?

Hmm, thats a good price pete, thanks for the link... i may get one as a spare in case i end up breaking my original...

After seeing the lengths some kids go to, to pinch things off cars (dustcaps etc.) ill only fit one if i really have to...
