Waxoyl preparation
Afetrnoon all, hope everyones been enjoying the sun now its finally arrived. Now the rain has stopped, the Bongs going in for a waxoyl, so I was just wondering if there is anything I should remove ready for the garage. Theyre only going to do a cheap spray-all-over type job, and wont be taking anything apart, so would it be a good idea for me to take the belly pan, spare wheel etc off, or are the things beneath the belly pan protected anyway? Whats the standard procedure?

Definitely take the spare wheel off. I got mine waxoyled by my converter. When I got round to replacing the skinny spare wheel with a proper wheel I found that the skinny spare had been sprayed over leaving a bare patch on the underbody where the wheel is located. Now I am gong to have to spray that bare patch myself.
If they're not going to drop the spare to spray behind it, you could remove it. Some parts will be missed if they don't lift the driver and passenger seats, so you could ask them to do that. It won't take much more of their time.

Allans Garage retired. Try PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services Plymouth
There are chassis rails behind the cover but these are easy enough to reach without removing the cover. If you think they might miss them, you could remove it.
Ensure they don't spray over any breathers/vents.

Speaking of prep,i gave my bongo a quick whizz over with a few cans of de-greaser, followed by a good jetwashing underneath a few days prior to my waxoiling session...
Dont forget to don some scruffs if you decide to do this, and pick a quiet time for the jetwash... as i looked a right pr**k lying on my back with a jetwash lance in hand
