What is this switch for ?
I wondered if anyone can identify a switch down on the drivers side near my knee? its next to the rear fan switch. (Drivers side) It has a picture of the engine, with what looks like heat on it ?? many thanks Richard
its an engine pre warm up switch#
its part of the winterpack. (two starting batteries joined in paralel for north of japan where it gets very cold)
basically its a diaphram in the exhaust that closes up when your turn on the switch, so that it makes the engine work harder and warms the engine up quicker.
but it isnt needed in this country

to make it float, you have to go at speed in a straight line towards a river or the ocean at over hundred mph, once you get near the edge yank the handbrake whilst spinning the wheel, then the bongo wil flip over upside down onto its roof into the water.
thus the fibreglass roof acts as a boat, the difficulty is getting it back over onto dry land.

as the twin batteries arnt needed, i changed the one on the passenger side into a leisure battery.

winterpack
Hi again i have the two 110 aphr batts under the bonnet and a leisure batt in the back inside the mazda cube cum sink thingy mi bob .. there is enough stored power to run a small town...mind you it don't half wizz over when you turn the key. when one dies it will be converted down to a single ...thanks Rich
