Sediment Warning Light?

Post by BettyBongo » Sat Jul 14, 2007 9:28 pm

Hello there. The "Sediment" warning light has recently appeared on my dash board. Any ideas what this means and how to rectify it? My handbook is next to useless. Have recently used some Biodiesel......could this be the cause?

Sediment

If you have recently started using Bio-Diesel it can have the effect of scouring your tank and fuel pipes and the sediment will be in ther bottom of your fuel filter, hence the Sediment light is on.

If the filter requires changing then follow the link above, if it has been changed recently then just carefully unscrew the plastic 'tap' on the base of the filter and the sediment and any water will drain out, when clean diesel is running out then tighten the'tap' up again.

Hope this helps.
