waxoil & spare wheel

Ok, yet another waxoil question, after crawling underneath fitting my towbar, I have come to the conclusion that I can do this myself but what about the area under the spare wheel, is it better to use a galvanising spray or solid setting underseal?
Other than diff, gearbox & brakes, anything else to avoid with the gunge?
any dismantling necessary, when fitting the towbar I did the area above the exhast back box that seemed a likely looking litle rust trap & liberally covered all the fresh holes & areas between towbar & bongo ( thanks to the guys that recommended towbar wiring through bumper & up into lights, dead easy (ish)).

Hi Kirsty, if you use soft waxoyl type above the spare wheel, wrap the spare in plastic before replacing, then, if you need to change a wheel, you won't be covered in black sticky underseal that will get transfered to the tyre. Also carry latex gloves with the tools. Shakey

You could get a 400 ml tin of galvanising spray paint from Screwfix for

You could try the same thing as i have done miss fixit,get all the waxoiling done, including above the spare, then pop the wheel straight back up,and hope and prey you never have a puncture!

I,m more bothered about it splatting up the side of me bongo when up to speed than getting myself dirty! ah sure do lurvv mah bongo!
