I know there was a thread about touch-up paint for the AFT roof a while back, but as I recall, no-one ever came up with a suitable paint.
Well I've removed the stickers and a bit of grey paint with them, and want to touch up the roof!
I don't want to paint the roof in body colour btw...can't afford it + I think Bongo looks a bit sleeker & less fat with contrast roof. I've got a green body, and if I were to paint the whole roof it would be Silent Silver for sure.
So i need roof paint! I was thinking of the Humbrol Enamel type paint used on Airfix models and the like....would that be suitable do you think? I'm sure I can mix a good match using that. Has anyone been down this road before and found a good solution?
Cheers........Rob

Hi Rob, the enamel paint idea sounds like it'll work... Although i'd try it somewhere inconspicuous first to make sure there are no funny reactions
If you got a tin of grey a shade lighter, and a tin of darker grey, you should be able to come up with a perfect match
By the way...are you calling my bongo FAT?

You've still got the lower silver so that keeps it ok! I just think the newer vans in all one colour look a bit ungainly somehow...probably tall rather than fat!
Anyway, I already read your tales of spraying your roof........you're brave! Although I do like the effect, I think I'll stick with my grey for now!
Cheers ..........Rob
Ooops
Sorry Trev................your van looks great too; I've just bought 816 tins of Humbrol dark blue!
You're right about tall and thin...don't know what I was thinking of with the fat bit....perhaps i saw one with a couple of roof boxes mounted on the side.
I'm going to shut up, otherwise I feel I may be in danger when I go to Lymington later in the month.

I'm just a mild mannered accountant
