HI,
just bought a bongo yesterday (montague conversion),very pleased.just a couple of questions if anyone can help.
1 - if i switch engine off in ' park ',engine runs on for about 2 minutes.if i turn ignition off in neutral then put into park, engine cuts immediately.is it ok to turn off this way ? i do not really want engine running on.previous owner said it ran on because of turbo charger ?
2 - digital air controls - green indicator is staying on to blow air despite controls being on off position,ie the mode indicator so air is continously blowing into front cab.has this happened to anyone else ? how can i rectify ?
cheers,
mark

Mark welcome
if the engine runs on with key out sounds like you have a turbo timer. this is a device to allow the oil in the turbo to cool slightly before stopping. Loads of info on the site. I turned mine (turbo timer) off and just let the engine run for 30 secs when I pull up.
mine still allows air in, I select it to come in on widow & feet.

I concur.
1.You have a turbo timer fitted.
2. Digital Climate control. To stop it doing everything hit the button on the right, marked 'off'.(I think! I can't be bothered to go downstairs and look 'cos I'm too tired-sorry!) All temperature settingings in the window should then disappear.
You can then have the fan working and direct the air but without the A/C i:e: frozen air coming in.

How do you see where you're going then?
Seriously.............. on climate control there are 2 buttons to the left of the unit with demister symbols on them. 1 square and one fan shaped. The square one is the electric rear window de-mister and the fan shaped one, switches the windscreen demist on with obligatory a/c +full fan power to clear the screen as fast as possible.

hi,
many thanks for reply.don't think i explained myself very clearly on first post.i have pressed 'off'button but symbol(person with direction of air ie feet, head, etc) remains on and air still being blown from vents.cannot turn off ! not a big problem, but will be a nuisance in winter.
