Hi
Can anyone help....
When we purchased bongo we only had one key...so I got another cut for a spare.
Wife broke the original key in two !!
We were left with the cut key which does open the door but you have to mess with it etc, and it starts car.
I really need a new replacement key, i've have the number of the key, is it possible to get one ?
Tried mazda UK but can't help, emailed mazda Japan but no reply ?
Any advice appreciated...
thank you

A proper locksmith can cut a key, just from the key number. They have a computer program that store all the profiles.
There is a place in West Yorkshire that will do it for you. They will probably do mail order, but have a look at their website and find somewhere local that is similar.

Thank you trevd01
I've just sent an email to them.
I note other message re look in member's area, unfortunately i'm no longer a member, was going to re-join but unfortunately we have to sell our bongo soon as we can't afford to run it at present and looking for something more economical for the time being...
so if you could pass on info would be grateful
hope to buy another bongo in future when our luck changes...
thanks everyone !!

How long have you been using th new key ?myngs wrote:

I had a new one cut for my Vauxhall Combo van, and when I got it home it was a bit sticky in the door and would not turn the ignition at all. I thought I would have to take it back and get another cut.
However, I ran a very fine file over its edges to take the newly cut rough bits off, and then slid it in and out of the ignition barrel several times and quite harshly (in a rather rude manner).
After a short time, it was worn enough to operate all the doors and the ignition and is now a fully working spare.
Sometimes locks and ignition barrels get worn with the original key, and a newly cut one won't work as a result - until you have worn it down a bit.
Sorry if this is not news to you and I am trying to teach my granny to suck eggs.
I can confirm Key & Lock supplies in Bournemouth. Excellent. Fit first time.
Of course I have the advantage of being able to go there! So cannot comment on their speed for postal services. They told me that they cut about 10 Bongo keys a week, so they should know what they are doing. Give them a ring.
