Trouble attaching awning

Post by lorraine » Sun May 27, 2007 9:41 am

Hi.. recently bought Navigator awning...

Ended up bodging it on by tying it to 3 lugs that are on Bongo roof just under the pop top..... wasnt very secure any bad weather it would have been rubbish...

This following info is in the Navigator review in the Bongo Tales part of the site.....

"Attaching the awning to the Bongo could not have been easier. Most awnings of this type have an elasticated gusset, but the gusset on this one was deeper than others we have come across, so there was not the same faffing about when trying to get the Bongo in to position. The gusset itself can be clamped to the drain sill on the side of the Bongo, or attached using a plastic "figure of eight"."

It wouldnt just clamp onto the sill .... do I need to buy some thing to get this to work? Also what is a "plastic figure of eight" ??

Cheers

This is the figure of eight stuff Lorraine, you slide one side onto the awning if you have the correct attachment, and then clip the other side onto the gutter of your Bongo. Available in the club shop.

Some bongos have a trim on the gutter that prevents the figure of eight being used, try the clamps that Ian sells in the shop
