Rear Anti-Roll Bar Drop Links- further info

Post by johnzbenson » Wed Mar 21, 2007 7:17 pm

Following on from the top tip of using Ford galaxy Links instead of Mazda originals (thanks to Richard Fallaize for this) the Rear Anti-Roll Bar Drop Links I have used are for the Ford Galaxy, they are produced by a company called First Line and have the part number FDL6461 Most good motor factors will supply them. and thanks to my local garage for not only keeping all the info and packaging off the links for BF members but for being as enthusiastic about Bongos as myself. The cost of everything

Post by johnzbenson » Fri Mar 23, 2007 8:36 pm

The links inclusive of the dreaded vat cost £27 as I had to change two of them to keep the height correct- I did see some on Ebay for £13 pounds each plus postage of a couple of quid. But wouldn't have managed to get the MOT and service done so quickly- a further bonus is if i break one now I'll only need to get one ford replacement from a motor factors!!. I had some other work done while this was going on All oils and filters in gearbox/engine/differential an MOT, a fuel tank flush and engine flush and coolant change all for £250.64 Pence of which£ 90 pounds was labour. Oh and an all round inspection and touch up of underchassis paint - apparently I should get another 5 or 6 thousand miles before I need front pads The garage owner said he'll do it later in the year since he doesn't like to change parts prematurely ( worth its weight in gold having a mechanic you can trust) thats about it really
