Really, I'm not gloating, as after all, I've done much much dafter things - like investing (time AND money) in a 'can't possibly fail' dot com, just before the dot com bubble burst!

Meanwhile, just wanted to say, for anybody considering V6 and LPG - if I run out of LPG, I just switch over to the unleaded tank, or vice versa. I find that sooo cool - but I'm NOT gloating, just thankful it wasn't me this time.

Tp be fair though - you could jsut as earily run out off both!! the way my brain works.

Im sure the two Mikes will sort it out Cath. you would think, the japs being very clever with stuff ,that they would have put a warning light or something to warn of low fuel.

I wonder if Wheelquick could save the petrol for you. According to Dandy, a measure of petrol in each tankful does no harm esp, in cold weather. Eventually you'd get to use it up.

I expect I'll go to Wheelquick with mine next week Cath as I've other jobs to do on Saturday. Good luck with Dydo tomoz.

As a "posh person" with a new shape, I do have a warning light.

I rarely wait for the light to come on - I always zero the odometer when I fill up, and fill up again when it gets to 500kms. If we are somewhere where we are unsure of where the next fuel is I will stop at the next place selling fuel at an accepatable price after 450kms.

The gauge is there for entertainment value only, going down slowly at first, lulling you into thinking you have done a Torchwood rivalling mpg, then plummets.

I am having a challenging week. We have had the car, my friends strange news today with the murder and hanging and I have just heard that another friend has had a stillbirth. I think I should go to bed and start again tomorrow

Hmmmnn! - Confused here. Mine's a Dec '97 'facelift' model and I remember having read something before I got it that said it didn't have a low fuel light...and now this comment from MM, but mine has got one.!!

So...is it the facelift models onwards or is mine a one off !!!!

Ours is a '98 S, not a new shape and we have a low-fuel light. Still hasn't stopped me running it dry, either
